Deleting Your Account

In plain English​

When you delete your Qpher Vault account:

  • For the first 30 days, you can change your mind and get it back.
  • After 30 days, your account is gone and we cannot help you get it back.
  • Your files and vault contents are permanently removed at day 30.
  • Qpher Vault subscriptions are billed and renewed by Apple. Deleting your account does not cancel yours; cancel it in your iPhone's subscription settings.

Who can use this​

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Qpher Vault iOS app. If you are a parent who believes your child under 13 has opened an account, please email privacy@qpher.ai and we will delete it promptly.

Step-by-step (iOS)​

  1. Open Qpher Vault on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom.
  3. Confirm twice, then enter your authenticator code, or your password if MFA is off.
  4. You are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.

At this point your account is scheduled for deletion but still recoverable.

If you have an armed Qpher Legacy policy, the Qpher Vault app cannot delete your account; delete it from the Qpher Legacy app instead, which also turns the policy off.

During the 30-day grace​

  • You cannot sign in normally — sign-in attempts show "Account Scheduled for Deletion".
  • If you tap Restore Account, your account is active again right away — or, if two-factor authentication is on, as soon as you enter your authenticator code, a recovery code, or a code we email you.
  • If the app shows an error when you restore an account that has two-factor authentication on, update Qpher Vault from the App Store, or email support@qpher.ai.
  • If you tap Sign Out, the app returns to the welcome screen and your account remains scheduled for deletion.

Billing during the grace​

Qpher Vault subscriptions are billed and renewed by Apple through the App Store. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it in your iPhone's subscription settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

After 30 days​

Your Qpher Vault account and its documents are permanently deleted. Deleting an account does not yet destroy its PQC private keys; they stay encrypted in the key service. Audit logs are retained for the life of your account and for 24 months after the account is deleted; accounts with an armed Legacy policy are exempt from deletion while the policy is armed.

After this point, restoration is not possible.

Admin-removed accounts​

If your organization administrator removes you, the grace window is 10 minutes (a safety buffer, not a user-recovery window).

If you believe your removal was unauthorized, contact your organization administrator or email support@qpher.ai immediately. Your personal vault account (if you had one outside the organization) is unaffected.

Right to accelerated deletion​

You may request deletion faster than 30 days:

  • EEA residents: GDPR Article 17
  • UK residents: UK-GDPR Article 17
  • California residents: CCPA §1798.105
  • Other jurisdictions: see Privacy Policy §7.3

Email privacy@qpher.ai with your account email and an explicit request for accelerated deletion. We verify and process within 30 calendar days.
