Share Documents

Share with any email address (the recipient opens it in the browser). Choose whether they can save a copy.

Share a document​

Open the document, tap Share, enter the recipient's email address and choose view-only or download. They open it in the browser with a code sent to their email.

  1. Open the document page and tap Share
  2. Enter the recipient's email address
  3. Choose View only or View & Download
  4. Tap Send encrypted

View only or download​

View-only: they can read it but not download it. Download: they can save a copy.

What view-only can't stop

Anyone who can open a document can photograph the screen. Qpher Vault detects screenshots and logs them against the document, and covers the document while the screen is being recorded; a browser can do neither.

Sharing with someone who doesn't use Qpher Vault​

They open it in the browser: a one-time code sent to their email opens it — no app to install, no password to set. Until they open it, the share shows as Invitation sent.

Documents shared with you​

Documents shared with you appear in the Shared tab.

Revoke a share​

Revoke the share and the recipient can no longer open it. A copy they already saved stays with them.

  1. Open the document page
  2. In Shared with, tap Revoke next to the recipient
  3. Confirm

Other settings on the share sheet​

Prevent resharing changes nothing: only a document's owner can share it. Access expires is enforced in the browser — the link stops working after that date — but not yet in Qpher Vault, where the recipient can still open the document after the date. After that date, Shared with shows Access expired and no Revoke button, so you can no longer revoke the share in the app. Leave Access expires at Never.

A share to someone who has no Qpher Vault account yet gets an expiry date automatically. To keep the option to revoke it, revoke while Revoke is still shown, or delete the document.

Limits​

How many documents you can share each month depends on your plan; Settings shows how many shares you have left.

Organizations​

Members of an organization share inside it with no key re-wrap; admins manage members in Qpher Portal.
