Account & Settings

Manage your plan, security and account from the Settings tab.

Plan & billing​

The Free plan lets you encrypt, share and receive documents within monthly limits; Personal raises them. Plans and prices are shown in the app.

To upgrade, open Settings, tap Plan & billing and choose a plan. Upgrades go through Apple In-App Purchase and take effect immediately. Settings also shows your storage and how many encryptions, shares and exports you have left this month. If you belong to an organization, your organization's admin manages the plan.

To cancel, go to iOS Settings → Subscriptions. Personal stays active until the end of the paid period. Canceling never deletes your documents.

Face ID lock​

Turn on Face ID and the app locks whenever you switch away from it.

  1. Open Settings → Autolock & MFA
  2. Turn on Use Face ID (Use Touch ID on an iPhone with Touch ID)

The lock applies while the app is running. If the app is closed — swiped away, or closed by iOS in the background — it opens again without Face ID. Keep your iPhone locked with a passcode.

The other switches on that screen

Auto-lock after, Lock when backgrounded and Block screenshots do not change how the app behaves yet. Qpher Vault cannot stop screenshots: it detects screenshots and logs them against the document, and covers the document while the screen is being recorded.

Two-factor authentication​

  1. Open Settings → Autolock & MFA and tap Enable 2FA
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, or enter the secret shown
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app
  4. Save your 10 recovery codes somewhere safe

Change your password​

Qpher Vault does not offer a password change in the app today. To change your password, sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.

Forgot password​

  1. On the sign-in screen, choose Sign In and tap Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email address and tap Send reset link
  3. Open the link in the email (it expires in 1 hour) and set a new password
Your documents are not tied to your password

Your encryption keys are managed by Qpher's isolated key service and are not derived from your password. Resetting your password does not affect your documents.

Sign out​

Open Settings and tap Sign out at the bottom. Your documents stay in your vault; sign back in to open them.

Delete your account​

Open Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom, confirm twice, then enter your authenticator code, or your password if MFA is off. You can restore the account for 30 days; after that, the account and its documents are permanently deleted. Deleting an account does not yet destroy its PQC private keys; they stay encrypted in the key service. Your Apple subscription is not canceled — cancel it in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.
