Getting Started

This guide walks you through downloading Qpher Vault, creating your account, and encrypting your first file.

  • An email address for account creation

Step 1: Download Qpher Vault

Download Qpher Vault from the App Store:

Step 2: Create Your Account

  1. Open the app and tap Sign Up
  2. Choose your sign-up method:

Step 3: Verify Your Email

Check your spam folder. You can also tap "Resend" in the app to send a new verification email.

Step 4: Encrypt Your First File

Once your account is set up, you'll see an empty document list:

  1. Tap the + button in the top-right corner
  2. Select Encrypt File
  3. Choose a file from your device (photo, PDF, document, etc.)
  4. The file is automatically encrypted and stored in your vault

That's it! Your file is now protected with quantum-safe encryption.

What Happens During Encryption?

When you encrypt a file, Qpher Vault:

  1. Generates a random AES-256-GCM encryption key (DEK)
  2. Encrypts your file with the DEK
  3. Wraps the DEK using X-Wing KEM (post-quantum key encapsulation)
  4. Uploads the encrypted file to secure cloud storage
  5. The private key stays in the server-side KMS — it never touches your device
Your keys are safe

Private keys never leave the server-side secure environment. Even if your device is compromised, your encryption keys remain protected.
